Hold On, Be Strong
I like remembering things in my life that modern times have forgotten. Television with vertical hold is one of those things. I spent much time in my youth trying to get the slowly creeping image on the television to sit still, only to exacerbate the problem and have to put up with correcting the image in my head. Now with today’s ultra-fast paced “$4000 manicure” technology there is no place for this charming nuisance. So it was a quick holla to vertical hold before I forgot it entirely.
The little text box in the last panel is a reference to a Mark Trail comic picked apart on the ultra-funny Comics Curmudgeon site, a humor hub I recommend to readers who came here and are dumbfounded by the lack of humor.
And that’s about all there is to say about this comic. Because comics shouldn’t require an enormous amount of explanation.

Well, that got me to go back and read all your comics.
How’s that for a testimony?
(I found this because you bid to place an ad on my site through Project Wonderful.)
Have a great day!

I remember vertical hold problems! They were such a pain! Your cartoon though reminds me of my teenager, who I swear to God will sit and stare at the television screen no matter what is on there, like in a daze. I tell her often that I am sure she would be happy just staring at a test pattern. Now, if she just knew what a test pattern was…
Thanks for the laugh
