A Movie Script Ending
If the subtext of my comic hadn’t made it obvious by now, I might as well do it now: The three main characters in my comic are based upon I and my two oldest friends. I’ve unloaded a lot of my own personality traits upon all three of these characters, but I’ve failed to exploit certain aspects of my personality.
To capitalize upon the more melancholy aspect of my personality I’ve created this character Rick, co-worker of Eric. I have named him after a fellow I greatly admire (whose work can be viewed HERE .) and whose success will leave me an embittered old failure. When I am an insane homeless man, each time I see his comic art in the windows of finer book retailers around San Francisco my fists will ball up so tightly that my filthy fingernails will cut into my palms. I will then play a plaintive melody on my bean-encrusted harmonica, filling the empty streets with sounds too mournful to mention.
Oh, and about this comic: When I was an usher in a movie theatre I used to think that was a good idea for a movie. Except mine was going to be a musical or something. You see? I can’t go two steps away from real life without running out of ideas.
