Number One Brother
Ever since I’ve been committing sketches to fleshed-out comics I’ve been looking over my entire sketchbook for a comic that looks good, but as of late I’ve been feeling more like I should be working from my more recent sketches. As long as I leave the jokes a day or so to marinate to see if they’re any good or not, it’ll be fine. It seems like a more immediate reflection of the shattered state of my mind than if I were to flesh out a sketch I did 18 months ago.
This is a recent sketch. I’ve been trying to do more stand-alone comics without storylines, which led to an extended period of writer’s constipation, but now the ideas are coming as easily as if I had talent enough to make a living at this. We shall see.
Edit: Sweet Savory Jesus is the kind of thing that people will end up copying, so keep watching the skies.

Not sure if waiting on a joke is neccessary. The one here seemed funny to me. Besides, if you just put the joke out there the reading audience will probably tell you right away if it isn’t funny.
Thanks for the laugh, and for advertising on my blog

“Sweet Savory Jesus” is a great exclamation.
